IMS · Founding & Monthly Co-Work Membership
Membership Terms & Conditions
These basic terms are designed to sit alongside the In Motion Studio (IMS) Founding Membership and Monthly Co-Work Membership offers. They keep membership simple while protecting studio availability, SAFA inclusions, the dedicated desk, classes and venue use for Founding Members, and set out the scope of the Monthly Co-Work membership.
Founding MembershipIDR 6.5M / month · Capped at 8 members
Monthly Co-Work MembershipIDR 3.5M / month · 50% off (IDR 1.75M / month) until 31 December for members who join before then · Unlimited co-working, studio hours, a daily coffee or coconut and more
1. Membership Tiers & Fees
IMS offers two ongoing membership tiers. The Founding Membership is limited to eight members and is priced at IDR 6,500,000 per month. The Monthly Co-Work Membership is priced at IDR 3,500,000 per month. Members who join before 31 December 2026 pay a promotional rate of IDR 1,750,000 per month until 31 December 2026; from 1 January 2027 the standard rate of IDR 3,500,000 per month applies. Membership fees for both tiers are payable monthly in advance, and the first month's fee is due before activation. Membership benefits are personal to the named member and cannot be transferred, shared or resold.
2. Membership Term & Cancellation
Membership operates on a month-to-month basis unless otherwise agreed in writing. Members may cancel by giving 30 days' written notice. IMS may suspend or terminate a membership for non-payment, serious misconduct, repeated breach of these terms, misuse of facilities, or behaviour that materially disrupts other members, staff or guests. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where IMS agrees otherwise or where required by applicable law.
3. Monthly Co-Work Membership Scope
The Monthly Co-Work Membership includes unlimited access to the IMS co-working areas (a hot desk, the lounge area and quiet meeting pods) during IMS operating hours, 8am to 8pm. It also includes:
- One free coffee or one fresh coconut on each day the member uses the space, on the same terms as the SAFA inclusions in section 7.
- 2 hours of Production Studio or Music Studio time per month, subject to availability and advance booking. Unused hours do not roll over.
- 20% off additional studio buyouts and venue hire booked for the member's own use.
- One guest day pass per month for a friend, booked in advance. Unused guest passes do not roll over.
- Member pricing on IMS events and workshops, and first access to bookings.
- 10% off at SAFA for the member's own orders.
It does not include a dedicated fixed desk, IMS classes, the quarterly upstairs venue takeover or a daily SAFA meal. Co-Work Members may purchase these separately, where available.
4. Dedicated Desk & Co-working Access (Founding Members)
Each Founding Member receives one dedicated fixed desk plus access to the IMS co-working areas during IMS operating hours. The desk is for the member's own use. Members are responsible for their personal belongings, equipment and valuables. Access may occasionally be limited where reasonably required for maintenance, private events, safety, public holidays or operational needs.
5. Studio Access & Fair Use (Founding Members)
Podcast studio, cyclorama and music studio access is included for Founding Members on a fair-use basis and is subject to availability and advance booking. Included access is for the member's own projects and does not include exclusive or continuous occupation of a studio. IMS may apply reasonable booking limits, session lengths, lead times or blackout periods to ensure fair access for all members. Specialist staff, operators, production crew, additional equipment, consumables or other services are not included unless expressly stated.
6. IMS Classes (Founding Members)
Founding Members may attend one eligible IMS class per week, subject to the class schedule, capacity and availability. Unused classes do not roll over, accumulate or convert to credit or cash.
7. SAFA Daily Inclusions (Founding Members)
On each eligible day, the Founding Member may redeem one SAFA meal, one coffee and one fresh coconut. These inclusions are for the member's personal consumption only, are limited to one redemption of each item per day, do not roll over and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or other items. Eligible menu items, serving times and availability may be reasonably determined by SAFA. Premium items, add-ons, substitutions, delivery and guest orders may attract an additional charge.
8. Quarterly Upstairs Venue Takeover (Founding Members)
Each Founding Member may request one upstairs venue takeover per quarter, subject to availability and prior written approval by IMS. The inclusion covers use of the agreed upstairs space only for the approved period. Catering, beverages, staffing, security, entertainment, production, cleaning beyond normal use, licences, damage and other event-specific costs are additional unless agreed otherwise. Unused quarterly takeovers do not roll over.
9. Guests
Guests are welcome only in accordance with IMS guest rules and may be required to purchase a day pass, studio booking, food or other access. A member must not use their membership to provide another person with ongoing workspace, studio access, classes or SAFA benefits.
10. Conduct, Safety & Damage
Members must treat IMS, SAFA, staff, other members, guests and equipment respectfully and follow reasonable house, safety and booking rules. Members are responsible for loss or damage they or their guests cause beyond ordinary wear and tear. Illegal, dangerous, abusive or materially disruptive conduct may result in immediate suspension or termination.
11. Changes, Closures & Availability
IMS may make reasonable changes to operating hours, class schedules, booking procedures, menu availability, equipment or membership operations as the business evolves. Where a material membership benefit must be permanently removed or substantially reduced, IMS will provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate, offer a reasonable substitute or the option to cancel before the change takes effect.
12. Personal Property & Liability
Members use the workspace, studios, classes and facilities at their own risk to the extent permitted by law and remain responsible for their own property and equipment. IMS is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Acceptance
By paying for and activating a Founding Membership or Monthly Co-Work Membership, the member confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions together with any reasonable IMS house rules, studio booking rules and venue rules provided to them.
